Academy of Health Professions

The Academy of Health Professions prepares students interested in various healthcare careers. Students begin this program in their junior year. Level 1 students learn medical terminology and practice hands-on skills, such as CPR/First Aid, taking blood pressure, and providing patient care. In level two, students learn the Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, ​and/or Pharmacy Technician curriculum and have the opportunity to earn certification in that field.

Industry Certification

  • Maryland State CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant), CCMA (Certified Clinical Medical Assistant), or CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician)

  • CPR (AHA BLS)
