Auto Collision Repair/Refinishing

This is an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified Program by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).
The Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing program provides an opportunity for students to learn how to evaluate and repair structural and non-structural damage to the body of automobiles. They will also learn how to read schematics and estimate repair costs. Shop experiences include instruction in the process for straightening metals with a frame machine welding; working with fiberglass, plastics, and solvents; preparing surfaces using sanding techniques, body filler, and glazing putty; and finishing with primer/paint mixing and spraying.
Career opportunities for students include technician and restorer positions available in garages in dealerships, insurance estimator, auto parts sales, custom detailing and business ownership.
